Special Note Regarding COVID-19
The rapidly changing news and science around the coronavirus make it difficult to plan very far into the future. We’ve experienced that at the Boychoir, along with our community and arts partners. We’re sure that extends to our families making decisions about children’s activities.
We are planning for a season of flexibility, with a few fun surprises in the works, that will include virtual activities, modified in-person activities, and when we're able to do so safely, in-person rehearsals and performances. Announcements will be made along the way as we adjust to the latest public health guidance.
One way we’re working around that is to introduce a three-session model for our Apprentice and JourneyMen programs. Ambassadors will follow the same schedule but are expected to participate in all three sessions.

The Cincinnati Boychoir serves boys from all over the metro region in grades 1-12 with musical enrichment programming, performance and travel opportunities. Boys attend weekly rehearsals at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, with commitments ranging from six weeks to a full (academic) year.
Full year students are placed into one of four graduated ensembles based on several criteria including age, music theory level, behavior, attendance and singing ability. Our six-week program is open to our youngest singers who may not have music experience, nor who may be ready for the larger commitment.
In addition to weekly rehearsals, workshops, and retreats, the Cincinnati Boychoir presents approximately thirty annual performances in the Greater Cincinnati region, and has performed concerts and completed residencies both at home and abroad.
Our Passport to Boychoir program is for young singers who would like to sing without the pressure of an audition or main-stage concert. Each session runs for 6 weeks, one evening a week, and includes singing, playing instruments, games, and stories. Boys practice fundamental skills in music and ensemble singing. Learning is experiential and play-based. No audition necessary.
Who: Grades 1-3

Apprentices SHARE music and experiences with peers in diverse settings throughout the region. Apprentices focus on peer-to-peer communication, as well as finding commonalities with boys who love to sing from a variety of neighborhoods, backgrounds, and experiences. Combined with JourneyMen for a true apprenticeship-styled program, where each boy in Apprentices is paired with a singer in JourneyMen for musical and social support. A placement audition is required to participate.

JourneyMen IMPACT their community through interpersonal connection.
