ANNUAL FUND

ABOUT THE FUND

Contributions to the annual fund are used to cover general operating expenses for the Boychoir. Tuition and performance revenue account for less than 65% of the Boychoir’s annual operating income; individual, corporate, and foundation contributions help to cover the rest.

THE MAXWELL SCHOLARSHIP FUND (Endowed/Restricted)

ABOUT THE FUND

Founded by a generous gift from Mrs. Jean Clipson and her husband Addison Clipson, Jr., the Maxwell Scholarship Fund is named for the great-grandfather of Mrs. Clipson, who was a president of the Cincinnati May Festival, and a lifelong supporter of vocal music in Cincinnati. The Maxwell’s legacy of caring and compassion for the vocal arts lives on in through the Maxwell Scholarship, a grant provided to boys to enable them to participate in Cincinnati Boychoir.  Founded by Lawrence Maxwell’s great granddaughter, Jean Maxwell Schmidlapp Clipson and her husband Addison H. Clipson, Jr., the fund is the first endowment established in support of the Cincinnati Boychoir. Jean’s grandson, Robert Maxwell Pauly, is a Boychoir alumnus and her son Lawrence Pauly is a member of the Men’s Glee Club and former member of the Boychoir’s Board of Trustees.

The Randall Wolfe Scholarship Fund (Restricted)

ABOUT THE FUND

The Randall Wolfe Scholarship Fund was founded upon the Cincinnati Boychoir’s 50th Anniversary in April, 2015, to honor the many years of service of the Boychoir’s longest-serving director. The fund is a cash account that accepts new donations on a rolling basis. Both interest and principal are spent as needed to cover the cost of tuition and touring for Boychoir boys as determined by the Chief Executive of the Cincinnati Boychoir. This Fund is separate from the Boychoir’s need-based financial aid budgeted line item and is to be used to cover any shortfalls in the Boychoir’s financial aid program, or when extenuating circumstances make it necessary for the Boychoir to aid with a boy’s tuition or touring fees.
