In 2011, the Cincinnati Boychoir initiated a program to reconnect with our roots in the Cincinnati Public Schools. The program, entitled Cincinnati Sings! sends Boychoir teaching staff into five CPS elementary schools to teach six-week after-school choir programs. Cincinnati Sings! culminates with the All-City Boychoir Festival, wherein any boy from the region is invited to come sing for a day with the Cincinnati Boychoir.
In 2013, the All-City Boychoir Festival attracted more that 250 boys, perhaps the largest gathering of Boychoir singers in Cincinnati Boychoir history.
Many boys who have experienced the Cincinnati Sings! program have opted to join our year-round choirs; each year, two are chosen as recipients of Maxwell Scholarships, a scholarship fund endowed by Mrs. Addison Clipson to support motivated boys without the financial resources to participate.
Support for our Cincinnati Sings! Program comes from:
The Charles H. Dater Foundation
The L&L Nippert Musical Arts Fund
