All-City Boychoir
Hundreds of boys will join in song on Saturday, February 25 2012 as part of the First Annual All-City Boychoir Festival
Teachers from throughout the Greater Cincinnati area are invited to send up to 10 boys in 1st – 4th grades to sing with the Cincinnati Boychoir on a Saturday morning filled with music, friends, fun, and PIZZA!
For the Boys
Join us for a morning full of music-making with the Cincinnati Boychoir! No preparation is needed, and each boy will receive a t-shirt and a pizza lunch. The day ends with a free concert at 1:00 – parents and community members are welcome!
For the Teachers
Teachers are invited to send up to 10 1st-4th grade boys to participate in the Festival. There is no advance preparation needed.
KellyAnn Nelson, the Boychoir’s Director of Education & Outreach, will offer a simultaneous free workshop – Music Theory in Motion! – for elementary music educators while the boys rehearse. Come experience some of the ways in which the Cincinnati Boychoir incorporates music theory lessons, games, and activities into short choral rehearsals for young singers. Participating teachers will also receive materials, ideas, and access to the Cincinnati Boychoir’s lending choral library, as well as .3 CEUs (certificates issued onsite at the conclusion of the event).
