2016-17 Cincinnati Tour Choir

In Brief:

  • The Cincinnati Boychoir Ambassadors are performing concerts in Seattle, Port Angeles, Lynnwood, Portland, and Eugene
  • This is the first visit by the Cincinnati Boychoir to the Pacific Northwest in 25 years
  • The tour features a special collaboration with the Monaco Petite Chanteurs
  • Concerts will take place July 6-16, 2017

For the first time in 25 years, the renowned Cincinnati Boychoir Ambassadors (formerly the Tour Choir) will perform throughout the Pacific Northwest in July, this time bringing with them repertoire from Bach and Mozart to African-American Spirituals, historical gospel songs, and more. The Ambassadors is an elite group comprised of the 35 most advanced boys and young men in a program that trains more than 300 boys annually.

One of the tour highlights will be a shared concert featuring the Cincinnati Boychoir and the Monaco Petite Chanteurs on July 7 at Trinity Lutheran in Lynnwood (more details below). This special collaboration will be an evening you are sure to remember!

A freewill offering is requested for most concerts. You can find up-to-date information here on www.cincinnatiboychoir.org and on our Cincinnati Boychoir Facebook page.

The Cincinnati Boychoir is one of the premiere professional boychoirs in the United States, maintaining a world-class performance level and the highest quality music education. The Cincinnati Boychoir is committed to ensuring that all boys in the region can take advantage of the program, and that it is a safe space for each and every boy.

Located in the urban arts core of Cincinnati at the Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Boychoir reaches approximately 300 young men each year from more than 100 schools in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Since 1965, the Cincinnati Boychoir has been dedicated to the musical, intellectual, and emotional development of these young men. Each year, the Cincinnati Boychoir presents approximately thirty annual performances in the Greater Cincinnati region, and has performed concerts and completed residencies both at home and abroad; most recently, the Boychoir has appeared on stages in the United Kingdom and the east coast of Australia.
