SongFest
SongFest offers a unique and rewarding musical experience for boys entering grades 3-7. All boys who participate in SongFest 2012 will also participate in the World Choir Games…a truly unique opportunity to interact with over 20,000 singers from all over the world!
Choristers experience a thrilling week of music-making that will inspire, inform, and excite. The boys receive top-notch instruction from Cincinnati Boychoir artistic & educational staff, as well as renowned guest conductors and teachers, in choral rehearsals and music classes. We also allow time for boys to be boys! Time for recreation, being silly, and making friends – as well as friendly citizenship competitions – will take place throughout the week. SongFest concludes with a final concert presentation by the boys for families and friends.
Who: Boys entering 3-7 grades who love to sing. Boys entering 8th grade already enrolled in the Boychoir are invited to attend.
When: Monday – Friday July 2 – 6, 2012 (9:00am – 5;00pm, with some evenings extended for participation in the World Choir Games)
Financial aid application deadline: June 1, 2012
Registration deadline: June 8, 2012
How: No audition is necessary; simply fill out the registration form and return it to the Boychoir office by June 8.
*At the end of camp, boys may audition for the year-round Boychoir program.
Costs: Tuition includes all materials and instruction for the camp as well as registration fees for the World Choir Games. Limited financial Aid is available; the deadline to apply for aid is June 1.
