Cincinnati Boychoir Staff
Bonnie Keller Spain, Associate Director and Director of the Training Choir, has worked for the Boychoir since March 2001. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree, cum laude, from Birmingham-Southern College and a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. A private teacher of piano and organ for more than twenty years, she has taught on the music faculty of Edgecliff College and was Director of Music at All Saints Episcopal Church in Mobile, Alabama for fourteen years. Mrs. Spain is currently the Music Assistant at Indian Hill Episcopal-Presbyterian Church, where she directs children’s choirs and handbell choirs and accompanies worship services.
John Spain, Assistant Director of the Training Choir, holds a Bachelor of Music degree in organ from Birmingham-Southern College and a Master of Music degree in organ from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Along with Mrs. Spain, he served as Director of Music at All Saints Episcopal Church in Mobile, Alabama for fourteen years. Mr.Spain is currently the Organist at St. Anne Episcopal Church and serves on the Board of Directors of the Sewanee Church Music Conference.
Michael Dauterman, a Cincinnati native, is excited to begin his first season with the Cincinnati Boychoir as the Resident Choir director. Michael graduated in 2010 from the College-Conservatory of Music (Summa Cum Laude) where he studied conducting, voice, and education. His conducting engagements have spanned a wide variety of genres from children’s choir to sacred music to musical theater. Having a strong vocal background, Michael was invited to sing in the Finals of Chanticleer’s National Auditions in February of 2010. In Cincinnati, he has sung professionally with the Vocal Arts Ensemble, at Cincinnati’s Episcopal Cathedral (Christ Church), as well as with various Conservatory ensembles. As a pianist, Michael has been afforded the opportunity to accompany for a variety of singers, choirs, and musical theater productions throughout the city. Michael served as a studio accompanist for the CCM musical theater department in addition to playing shows for the department as well as various companies around the city. He currently teaches choir at Roger Bacon High School and is a member of MENC, ACDA, American Orff-Schulwerk Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia..
Marcia Blust, Office Manager, is an experienced administrative assistant, having worked many years for law firms and other businesses. Mrs. Blust has taught art and has a masters in art education from Miami University. She also holds a bachelor of fine arts from Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) and a legal assisting degree from U.C. She is a long-time Bridgetown resident, with two children and a golden retriever.
Tina Kramer, Music Magic teacher, has taught classroom music in public and private schools, including Bethany School and Schilling School for the Gifted, for 24 years. The pioneer of the Boychoir’s Music Magic program, she serves as organist for St. Michaela and All Angels Church.

Andrew Riffey has worked since March of 2005 as our Building Manager. In 2006 he assumed additional duties and is now our Operations Manager. Andrew has studied graphic design at Northern Kentucky University and has taken computer classes at Raymond Walters College.
