all city boychoir festivalFor one day only, we invite any and every boy in the region to join us for a fantastic day of singing and music theory games, culminating in a rousing performance on stage at the 2000-seat Procter & Gamble Hall in the Aronoff Center for the Arts. Best of all? It’s free for all participants!

Sing for the City: Saengerfest

Friday, December 2

christmas saengerfestAward-winning choirs sing in four beautiful venues in Over-The-Rhine.

A German tradition dating back to 1849, Saengerfest celebrates choir singing groups. American Legacy Tours runs the festival to highlight beautiful music, downtown churches, and their work with the less-fortunate.

This is a holiday tradition not to miss: join us as we tell the story of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, complete with more than 150 singers on stage, orchestra, and special guests Bob Herzog and Kathy Wade. Hear and sing along with favorite holiday songs, and feel your own heart grow three sizes as the Grinch finds his holiday cheer!

Cantata FestFeaturing the Tour Choir, Collegium Cincinnati, the Christ Church Cathedral Choir, and others for this beautiful program.

We celebrate one of the greatest musical genres – the cantata – in this performance of five of Bach’s masterpieces. Featuring the choirs of Christ Church Cathedral, the Cincinnati Boychoir, and Collegium Cincinnati, we’ll explore the unique and rich musical history of each remarkable work.

This is the original boychoir music: choirs of boys and men were the standard in Bach and Mozart’s day – no girls allowed! Join us as we celebrate the fire, beauty, and virtuosity of some of the greatest music ever written, sung completely by dudes. Joined by our MANChoir and the BeauxTies, the Tour and Concert Choirs will delight in this program of classical masterworks and contemporary classics.

Sing for Justice: Lift Every Voice

lift every voice and singThroughout history, generations of people have used music to unite in the face of oppression. From African-American slavery to South African apartheid to the ongoing American Civil Rights movements, some of the world’s most meaningful songs have become rallying cries for people who will not be silenced. Join all of the Cincinnati Boychoir’s ensembles as we celebrate this amazing history of change through song.

Sing in Your Neighborhood:
The All-City Boychoir Year-end Concert

sing in your neighborhoodThe All-City Boychoir is more than a one-day festival in November, a regular Monday night rehearsal at the Aronoff, or a weeklong camp at Xavier University. The All-City Boychoir includes the dudes who join one of the five after-school choirs we run in conjunction with the Cincinnati Public Schools and the neighborhood partners who support each school’s after-school programs.

On this night, join the members of our five Cincinnati Public School choirs and the Resident Choir for the All-City Boychoir’s culminating performance of the year. Come early for a potluck lunch and stay to hear the boys shine in their final public presentation.
